Canada and Kuwait are expanding the scope of our cooperation. Today, Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and I signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Defence and Security Cooperation, strengthening our ability to work together on shared security priorities. Our relationship also reaches into areas with growing strategic and economic weight, including artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and stronger people-to-people ties. With more than 60 years of diplomatic engagement behind us, we are focused on where greater cooperation can take us next. — Le Canada et le Koweït élargissent la portée de leur coopération. Aujourd’hui, le ministre des Affaires étrangères, le cheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, et moi avons signé un protocole d’entente sur la coopération en matière de défense et de sécurité afin de renforcer notre capacité à travailler ensemble sur des priorités communes en matière de sécurité. Notre relation s’étend également à des domaines qui revêtent une importance stratégique et économique croissante, notamment l’intelligence artificielle, les technologies émergentes et le renforcement des liens entre nos populations.
