Russian President Vladimir Putin took a jab at the G7 while highlighting BRICS’ growing economic weight at the BRICS Business Forum in New Delhi. Speaking alongside delegates of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, Putin questioned why the G7 is called the “Big Seven,” saying its share of global GDP is about 29%, compared with 40% for BRICS. Putin was also seen smiling and chatting with members of the Women’s Business Alliance alongside Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the forum.
