Today, it became a symbol of friendship. π«π·π¬π§ King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined @emmanuelmacron and Brigitte Macron at the British Museum for a historic viewing of the Bayeux Tapestry β nearly 1,000 years after it was created. For the first time in its history, the extraordinary work has been loaned by France to Britain, depicting the dramatic events that led to the Norman Conquest and the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The loan was agreed during President Macronβs 2025 State Visit to the United Kingdom and has become a powerful symbol of the renewed cultural relationship between the two countries.
