This reshared Al Jazeera English reel shows US President Donald Trump speaking to reporters outside the White House on 23 October 2026. He says the localised ceasefire in the Russian-occupied Ukrainian city of Oleshky was First Lady Melania Trump's initiative, that she is focused on saving children, and that both sides are cooperating. Asked about trilateral peace talks, he says he would not rule out her taking part.
